Health Plus - A step ahead
Putting together a medical camp and offering free health examinations can significantly improve the neighbourhood. It enables residents of small towns to get necessary healthcare services and spot any impending health problems at an early stage.
About the mission
A group of committed physicians, nurses, and volunteers came together for the Health Camp, an initiative by the NGO and regional healthcare experts, who selflessly volunteered their knowledge and services. To ensure maximum participation and ease, the camp was thoughtfully positioned in a central area that was open to all of the people.
The Health Camp placed a strong emphasis on preventive healthcare, including health screenings, education, and awareness. Numerous health examinations and screenings, such as BMI calculations, blood pressure readings, and blood sugar checks, were performed. These examinations provided opportunities for early detection and intervention as well as aiding in the identification of pre-existing medical issues.
Understanding the value of education in enhancing health outcomes, the NGO organised educational workshops on subjects like diet, hygiene, and illness prevention. To provide the villagers with information that could enhance their health and wellbeing, skilled healthcare experts gave informative speeches, answered questions, and distributed instructional brochures.
